Your questions answered
At Fostering North East we welcome applications from people from all walks of life. Here are the answers to some of the question you may have:
Relationship status: inclusive to all.
We welcome applications from people who are single, married or in a steady relationship.
Age requirement: 21 and above.
You need to be at least 21 years old to become a foster carer, but there is no upper age limit as long as you are fit and healthy enough to enjoy family life.
Family structure: All families considered
Whether you have children living at home, have grown-up children or no children, it doesn’t affect your ability to be a great foster carer.
Whether you are working, retired or unemployed, your passion and dedication to fostering are what truly matter.
Owning or Renting, Spare Bedroom Required
Whether you own your own house or rent, you must have a spare bedroom available for the foster child. This ensures they have a safe and comfortable space to call their own.
Cultural Diversity: Embracing All Backgrounds
We wholeheartedly welcome applications from individuals of diverse ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds. Fostering is enriched by the unique experiences and perspectives that every caregiver brings.
